Crace Project: A Refreshing Transformation Reflecting Personality
RENOVATION
We transformed a Crace home, breathing new life into the space and tailoring it to the client’s personality. The project focused on updating the existing features while maximising functionality and aesthetics.
Key Improvements:
- Modernised Bathrooms: The existing separate powder room and bathroom were cleverly reconfigured into a single, spacious bathroom. This involved relocating the entrance to eliminate unwanted visibility from the kitchen and incorporating a freestanding bath instead of the original island bath. A full-height cupboard provides ample storage.
- Smart Design: The new wall framing around the vanity, shower, and toilet creates a sense of symmetry and privacy without the need for additional glass partitions or doors. A bold patterned tile used strategically adds a touch of personality, complemented by soft green painted walls.
- Enhanced Master Suite: The master suite received a complete makeover, prioritising privacy and functionality. A new sliding door separates the sleeping zone from the redesigned walk-in robe and ensuite. The walk-in robe features increased storage and a skylight for improved natural light. Unused landing space was converted into dedicated shoe storage.
- Spacious Ensuite: The original ensuite layout was altered to create a more open feel and a larger shower area. A curved wall adds a touch of luxury, while a bench seat with glass mosaics enhances comfort. The existing basin was integrated into a new vanity with a recessed mirror cabinet.
The outcome? The client is thrilled with the final result. The renovation seamlessly integrates the existing high-quality fixtures with new elements, creating a personalised space that reflects their unique style. The bold use of color adds vibrancy throughout the house, making it a true reflection of the homeowners’ personalities.

We chose to work with Chris and Rhiannon Clowry from CJC Constructions to renovate our 12 year old home. We could not have made a better decision. We are extremely happy with the outcome and we recommend them to anyone considering a complex renovation or a new build.
Process wise, CJC run a transparent and easy to use project management system (CoConstruct), communicate regularly and effectively, and they deliver on time and on budget. We could not ask for more.
From a quality perspective, we could not be happier with the work the team did. Beyond Chris and Rhiannon themselves, we want to pay particular credit to the great work of the rest of the team – Corey, Dakoa, Chris B, and Aaron. The guys take special care to deliver a premium finish, and this was particularly to case with all their bespoke joinery (from big elements like our walk in robes, right down to a beautifully crafted new handrail for our staircase). We love it all.
CJC work with excellent tradespeople – throughout the process we got to meet and see the fine work of many specialists. Particular thanks go to Nick who did all the tiling, and Joe and his colleagues from Award Electrical.
We particularly wished to thank Chris and his team for their flexibility. This includes:
– a thoughtful and caring approach to supporting us to live in the house while they undertook the work. This was not easy for anyone, but the CJC guys were excellent in this area;
– undertaking the work whilst also looking out for our elderly dog who was in the house with them the entire time; and
– renovating the inside of the house while at the same time we also had a complete external landscape renovation happening with other contractors. The CJC team worked in very well with the landscapers.
